| Two Handed Youth Bowler Rolls a 300 |
Devin Holzmann, 16, a junior at Grant High School in Fox Lake IL, bowled a 300 game with a 220 and a 246 for a 766 series at 3D bowl in Island Lake, on 3D's Majors Youth league.Devin has been bowling with two hands since he was 6 years old, and is now averaging 218 on the centers youth league and 200 in a traveling league. Devin states “I practice two to three times a week and I bowl in at least two leagues. I have excellent coaches who help me all the time.” |

Bowling Congress reports that Dave’s Dills, from the Wednesday Night
Men’s League at Edgetown Bowl, Woodstock, IL, is currently ranked 3rd
nationally by the USBC for five man team scratch series scores. On November 18, 2009 the team rolled the following scratch scores:
Dave’s Dills is not a newcomer when it comes to placing in the USBC National Top Scores. During the 2007-2008 season the team finished in 22nd place rolling a scratch series of 3710 on April 2, 2008. Also during the 2007-2008 season they tied for 4th place nationally in the category of scratch game with a 1374. Congratulations gentlemen! |
3-D Youth Bowler ShinesEvery week 2,325,074 USBC sanctioned league bowler’s nationwide head to the lanes in quest of rolling the perfect 300 game. On Saturday, November 14, 2009, Shane Slusin, a Junior from Crystal Lake Central High school, accomplished that feat and added an exclamation point to it by finishing the morning with an incomprehensible 824 three game series, rolling a 300, 278, and 246. His previous high game was a 289 rolling it on four different occasions. His previous high series a 795. His current league average is a 227. Bowling at 3-D Bowl in Island Lake on the Saturday Morning Majors Youth League, Shane states that this feat was the accomplishment of his life and felt blessed that he was able to achieve this goal at such a young age. Another accomplishment to Shane’s career came on June 21, 2009 when he won the Amateur Bowlers Tour Youth Tournament at Lakeside Lanes in Mundelein, IL. Congratulations to Shane from the McHenry County USBC and the 3,900 + members of the association. |
